Why I Write

I won’t lie; I’d love to earn enough from sales of my books to be able to make a living doing what I love, which is writing, if you haven’t guessed! I also enjoy being able to write the kind of stories I like to read, but the main reason I write, is this:

“Okay so my plan yesterday was to take a step back, digest book 1 In Chains, read another book THEN come back to this one.  But as I sat my desk trying to do something else, my eyes kept going to my Kindle. So I told myself I’ll just read the first chapter and then take a break. Yeah six hours later (and many curse words), I’m setting my Kindle down with the biggest smile on my face.

Kayden and Savannah’s journey began in book 1 and concludes in Book 2. Wow! What a hell they’ve been through. Kayden captured my heart right away in book 1.  Because of who he was, he had his own obstacles in his way. I laughed so hard in Book 1 because of one of them.

In book 2, their journey continues as they literally fight for survival. As if their circumstances weren’t enough to handle, they had people trying to mess with their heads about the other’s true feelings.

Savannah’s problem was she just couldn’t keep her mouth shut or keep her opinion to herself.

Kayden made me smile and cry! OMG! Did he ever make me cry. For a good 20% I think I was cursing the author up and down for the crap she put my poor Kayden through THEN finally the last 3% I’m smiling, but that’s not without some MAJOR UGLY TEARS right before then UGH!! I was screaming at my kindle “If you do this to me, I’ll throw this Kindle across the room!” Yeah there was a good stretch there I was unbelievably mad at Savannah that if she were real I would have shaken her so hard she would have gotten whip lash. LOL

Yes I was completely consumed by this book (and the first one). Honestly it has been an amazing journey and I’m so sad to see them go. I’d love to have seen more from a certain scene, but as all good books it leaves you wanting more. Honestly I’m not sure in this series that there’d ever be enough.

If you haven’t read either of these books In Chains or Locked Together you are missing something amazing!  Seriously pick these up today!!! They are worth the time to read it. Before now, I’m sad to say I hadn’t even heard of these books or sadly the author but after reading these books, I’m a 100% HUGE fan now! Can’t wait to read more from this author. Will definitely be stalking her…I mean watching!”

I get such a high when readers love my characters as much as I do, and take the time to let me know in a review, or a message. I love it when readers are able to feel the emotional journey my characters are taking, and laugh and cry with them. The person who wrote the above review, went on to become my biggest fan and took the time to surprise me with a book trailer and teaser graphic that she’d made. She touched my heart with her thoughtfulness, and I got to feel famous for a while J

Michelle Abbott lives in the UK and hates describing herself in 3rd person. She’s a self-published author who loves to write new adult romance about heroes who begin as the underdog and are protective of their girl. She’s an avid reader of romance, is addicted to coffee and loves wine and chocolate, so yeah, not the most healthy eating and drinking habits 🙂 She spends way too much time online when she should be writing. She collects teddy bears and occasionally knits a couple of rows on a sweater she started years ago, which she may eventually finish in time to wear for her funeral.
